The Gibson County Theatre Company offers open auditions for its productions.
No prior theatre experience is necessary.
Prepared monologues are not required.
All casting will be age appropriate.
As stated in our bylaws (Article III, Section 1), “Participants shall not be
discriminated against based on age, race, creed, color, or sex.”
Please refer to our "Our Current Season" for specific audition dates.
Though it is not necessary to read scripts in advance, auditioners may be able to
find scripts for plays at local libraries, bookstores, or purchase them through
the publisher. Common play publishers include:
Musicals are different - you cannot purchase scripts for musicals.
They are only available for perusal or rental through companies such as
Music Theatre International, Samuel French, Tams Witmark, and Rogers and Hammerstein
